In the light of the globalisation of the aerospace market and the requirements of those active in it, Nexteam Group has chosen to overhaul its information system completely and acquire the SAP IT Manufacturing Solution, based on S4/HANA.
A RESPONSE TO THE CHALLENGES OF THE AEROSPACE INDUSTRY
With this new information system, Nexteam Group can meet its clients’ new requirements. Although a high level of quality and traceability is still required, the aerospace sector is now reasoning more in terms of processes, concentrating on improving performance and times, and meeting the need to optimise costs. Processes at all levels in the industry are therefore being reviewed, especially the collaboration between clients and suppliers. “All our order issuers are using SAP. Choosing this solution will make it easier for us to integrate into the platforms that some of us have already put in place for supply chain and purchases. We are also enjoying increased security in our exchanges with them and thus improving our relationship of trust”, says Patrice Lotte, Nexteam Group Information Systems Director.
A HIGH-PERFORMANCE SOLUTION TO IMPROVE PRODUCTIVITY
The solution chosen by Nexteam Group is based on the latest-generation HANA technology platform, which is based on in-memory data processing. Nexteam Group will be able to manage its activity in real time, connecting individuals, subsidiaries and suppliers. “With SAP we will save time thanks to increased calculation performance. We will optimise production flows and quality processes, we will be able to manage the complexity and risk inherent in the Supply Chain and the programmes, we will respect the need for instant traceability, and we will improve Group profitability”, states Grégory Poux, Senior Vice-Chairman of the Nexteam Group.
TRANSFORMATION IN THE SERVICE OF AMBITION
This programme to transform the Nexteam Group information system, in response to operational requirements, is a necessity in view of the Group’s desire to position itself as a major actor in the field of aerospace subcontracting. This digital transformation will allow Nexteam Group to take on complete projects (from design to maintenance), to unify the systems of its eight entities, to pursue and increase the Group’s development, especially at international level, and to transform the company digitally in order to handle the leap to Industrie 4.0.
